Kevin Yu - Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist 166001542
I founded Soulstice Therapy to create a private practice that not only delivers high-quality care to clients but also supports and empowers our therapists with the level of clinical care they deserve. During my time as an associate, I found it challenging to truly thrive. My interests extended beyond therapy, yet I knew that earning my license was essential to feeling financially secure and professionally fulfilled.
At one point, I was juggling four jobs alongside private practice, and I worried that joining a traditional agency or hospital setting would lead to burnout from excessive caseloads and administrative demands. Seeing the impact of this on friends and colleagues, I felt there had to be a better way—a practice where therapists are valued and supported.
At Soulstice, we’re building that vision. For our full-time team members, we offer benefits like PTO, health insurance, and even meals—so they feel like part of a true team. I also encourage each therapist to pursue other passions. Having worked in tech, I know the value of integrating creative outlets, and I want to bring that same philosophy to our practice. We provide training in content creation, from filming and scripting to personal branding, giving therapists a space for creativity and self-care in what can often be emotionally intensive work.
For clients, our goal is to respond within 48 hours, ensuring they feel seen and supported from the start. And if we can’t see them ourselves, we’re committed to providing referrals to help them get the care they need. At the core, Soulstice Therapy exists to serve, support, and uplift others.
My Philosophy
I appreciate your willingness to take the time to put yourself first and look for a new therapist! Therapy is not just for the challenging moments, but also designed for when things in life are perfectly fine.
We could all use additional tools when life is going great to prepare us for when things get rough. My goal is to promote and encourage the importance of physical and mental health while collaboratively adding value to your daily life. I want to provide you with a safe, secure environment to explore hard topics while incorporating different skills and tools that you can utilize regularly. The space and time is yours!
In addition to tackling depression and anxiety, I have worked extensively with models, business professionals, athletes, multicultural relationships, Asian-American issues, families, and couples while maintaining an LGBTQIA+ affirmative practice. Each therapy session is tailored specifically to meet your needs and your feedback actively drives our work together.
You have inherent strengths that are ready to be developed. Just like a personal trainer helps you build stronger muscles at the gym, I am here to give your mental health my undivided attention. As I learn more about your unique circumstances, I look forward to strengthening your mental and emotional muscles in pursuit of an overall healthier you.
